Karl Nueckel serves as a Minister of Sound in the role of drummer. His love for percussion began at an early age—he received his first drum set at just 18 months old. Raised within the Saint John Coltrane Church community, Karl's musical gifts were nurtured and encouraged from childhood, allowing his passion for drumming to flourish.
Deeply inspired by legendary drummer Elvin Jones, Karl brings energy, creativity, and spiritual intention to his ministry. In addition to the drum set, he enjoys playing congas and participating in community drum circles, embracing rhythm as both a musical and spiritual practice.
Beyond his musical pursuits, Karl is an aspiring software engineer and entrepreneur. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside, and is currently completing his Master of Science in Computer Science, expected in 2027.
