Pastor Wanika King Stephens is a visionary pastor, theologian, chaplain, and artist whose ministry bridges sacred music, mysticism, compassionate care, and liberation theology. Ordained as a Bishop in the African Orthodox Church in 2026, she also serves as an ordained interfaith minister through the Chaplaincy Institute and as a hospital chaplain with California Pacific Medical Center. She earned her Master of Theology degree from Church Divinity School of the Pacific and studied at San Francisco Theological Seminary. Her theological work centers on the teachings of Archbishop King of the African Orthodox Church and the principles of Coltrane Consciousness, while her graduate thesis explored the divinity and sacred witness of John Coltrane. Deeply influenced by the mysticism of Christ and Jesus the revolutionary, Pastor Wanika’s ministry calls people into healing, spiritual awakening, creativity, and prophetic love.
