Behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto us is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the
Lord. St Luke 11:10,11
Greetings to all who hold in their hearts the Love of God
Gladly come we now before the God of our salvation in celebration of our liberty in Christ the newborn King the very Son of God. Giving thanks for such unearned favor and grace from an all Compassionate Creator.
The winter days are shortened and darkness comes at early eve. The coldness sets the mode of dress and moods. We cover ourselves with fabric woven of wool and pray that the wistful flames of hope for a fireplace would warm our bodies and brighten our spirits. Yet many hearts remain cold and seem uncaring even now in a season of joyful noise. Efforts to be happy burden our moods with the remembrance of those we love that have passed this way and are no more. In these moments, our faith is renewed recalling Jesus the light of the world. We are no more frozen in moods of despair and hopelessness we shed the garments of heavy hearts and darkness becomes a patient wait for daylight. Knowing surely that we the people who were in darkness have received a marvelous light.
Dearly beloved we beseech you to be of good cheer. Notwithstanding we remain steadfast in prayer and thanksgiving for the body of Christ. Let it be that our hope well founded in Christ Jesus be the singular focus of our busyness and business. And in our giving of gifts let our gift be first ourselves to God in obedience and service. And to our families and loved ones the best of our newborn selves in Christ. Let us not make the rich richer by spending money and time on fleeting pleasures immeasurable to the great gift of Gods charity. But give mind to saving for the real necessities of life. Go not in debt but remember the debt that was paid that we might be free. Mindful of the blessings of giving and of the Church's great need of financial support.
"For in the bank of life is not good the investment that surely pays the highest and most cherished dividends.” -St. John Coltrane
Wishing all a very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.
May there be Peace love and perfection throughout all creation.
